    What a mow includes

The cut itself, edges strimmed along paths, fences and beds when you add strimming at £12, and cuttings cleared. Disposal is £12 per visit if your green bin has no room, otherwise cuttings go in the bin at no charge.

    £20 per 100m², £40 minimum visit, 10% off on a monthly plan.

Cutting height matters more than people think

Cutting too short is the most common reason a Cambridge lawn goes patchy and yellow in summer. Taking more than a third of the blade at once shocks the grass and opens the surface to weeds and drought.

Longer grass shades its own roots, holds moisture and outcompetes weeds without any chemical help.

    COMMON QUESTIONS

    Frequently asked questions

£20 per 100m², with a £40 minimum visit. Strimming and edging adds £12 to a mow or £28 an hour on its own. Monthly plans take 10% off. Overgrown first cuts carry a 50% surcharge for that visit only.

Never more than a third of the blade in one pass. In hot spells leaving the grass slightly longer shades its own roots and holds moisture, which is why lawns cut too short go yellow first in a dry Cambridge summer.

Occasionally. Growth mostly stops from November to February, so visits usually drop to monthly or pause entirely. A tidy-up before spring is normally better value than cutting grass that is not growing.

Light rain is fine. Sustained wet makes a mess of the lawn and the finish, so the visit moves to the next dry slot. You will be told rather than left wondering where the gardener got to.
