    Who we are

    ELawnCare is a sole-trader lawn and garden care business operating in and around Cambridge, UK. For anything relating to your personal information, contact us at info.elawncare@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described below, as defined under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

    What we collect

    • Your name, and the email address and/or phone number you provide.
    • Your postcode or area, garden size, services of interest and preferred frequency.
    • Any notes or messages you choose to send us.
    • Basic technical information needed to keep the site working and to block automated spam, including your IP address at the time you submit a form.

    We do not ask for payment card details on this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

    Legal basis for processing

    Under Article 6 of the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

    • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): When you tick the consent checkbox on our quote form, you give us permission to use your contact details to respond to your enquiry. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
    • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): To arrange, carry out and follow up on work you book with us.
    • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): To keep records of enquiries and jobs for business administration, and to protect the site from spam and abuse. We have assessed that these interests do not override your rights.

    We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly ask us to.

    Your details are visible only to ELawnCare. We use the following trusted service providers, each of which processes data strictly on our instructions:

    International transfers

    Some of our processors operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by standard contractual clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner, or by an adequacy decision. Cloudflare and Google operate under such safeguards.

    How long we keep it

    Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for up to 6 years so we can handle questions, warranties and tax records. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

    We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items. We do not use any advertising cookies or third-party analytics tracking. Here is what the site stores:

    Your rights

    Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR Articles 15 to 22) you have the right to:

    • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access).
    • Ask us to correct inaccurate data (right to rectification).
    • Ask us to delete your data (right to erasure / "right to be forgotten").
    • Object to or restrict certain processing (right to object / restrict).
    • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format (right to data portability).
    • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

    Changes

    If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
