Village gardens and new-build plots
The older part of Trumpington along the High Street, Anstey Way and Shelford Road has houses with sizeable rear gardens, often with mature hedgerows, established shrubs and deep flower beds. Regular mowing, seasonal hedge cuts and bed maintenance keep them in shape without a heavy outlay.
On the newer estates around Trumpington Meadows and Glebe Farm, gardens are smaller and many are still settling. Builder-laid turf and sparse planting are common. Fortnightly visits, some targeted weeding and a plan for the borders turn these plots around within a season.
