Lawn Mowing
Striped, healthy lawns with squared edges. From courtyard plots to country gardens.
+50% surcharge for overgrown first cuts
ELawnCare mows lawns in Cherry Hinton at £20 per 100m² with a £40 minimum visit. Every cut includes a striped finish, squared edges, and cuttings cleared from the lawn. Strimming along paths, fences, and flower beds adds £12.
Cherry Hinton sits in south-east Cambridge, a mix of 1950s semis and newer builds off Cherry Hinton Road and around the recreation ground. Many gardens here are larger than the Cambridge average, with rear lawns stretching 15 to 20 metres. That makes fortnightly mowing through the growing season the most cost-effective schedule for keeping things tidy.
Monthly plans take 10% off every visit. The service is owner-run with £2 million public liability insurance and no callout charge anywhere within Cambridge city.

£20 per 100m² is the per-cut rate, with a £40 minimum that covers small gardens up to about 200m². Strimming adds £12 to a mow. Cuttings disposal is £12 if you do not have a council green bin. Overgrown first cuts carry a 50% surcharge for the initial visit only, then standard rates apply from the second visit onward.
A typical Cherry Hinton semi with a 300m² rear lawn costs £60 per fortnightly cut. Monthly plan customers pay £54 for the same cut after the 10% discount. All prices are published and do not change between quotes.
Fortnightly visits from March to October suit most Cherry Hinton lawns. Weekly mowing is available in May and June when growth peaks, then drops back to fortnightly as summer dries things out. Winter visits are monthly or paused entirely.
Side gate access is arranged at the first visit. Many Cherry Hinton properties have a side passage from the front, so the mower can reach the back garden without going through the house. Visit day stays consistent for easy planning.
