Full garden transformations: reshaped beds, sleeper edging, gravel areas, decking and drainage.
Every brief is different - we visit, measure and quote properly
ELawnCare provides pond cleaning across Cambridge, quoted per job after a site visit. Every pond is different in size, depth, age, and condition, so a fixed price list does not work for this service. A quick visit to see the pond comes first, and the quote follows the same day.
Pond cleaning covers the full range of maintenance tasks: algae treatment for blanket weed and green water, sludge removal from the bottom, pump and filter servicing, liner inspection for damage or shifting, and aquatic plant thinning where growth has taken over. Not every pond needs all of these, which is why pricing is per job rather than a flat rate.
The service covers ornamental ponds, wildlife ponds, koi ponds, and self-contained water features across Cambridge city and the surrounding villages within the coverage area. No callout charge within 8 miles of Cambridge.

Algae removal tackles blanket weed and green water caused by excess nutrients in the pond. Sludge removal clears the decomposing organic matter that settles on the bottom over months and years, feeding the algae cycle. Together, these two tasks do the most to improve water clarity and pond health.
Pump and filter servicing checks the impeller, cleans or replaces filter media, and inspects the UV clarifier if fitted. A working pump keeps water moving and prevents the stagnant conditions that allow algae and mosquitoes to thrive. Liner inspection checks for punctures, folds, and shifting that can cause slow leaks or poor circulation.
Late spring (April to May) is the best time for a thorough clean. Winter debris is cleared, the pump is serviced before the growing season, and the pond is set up to handle summer warmth without an algae bloom. Early autumn (September to October) is the second window, clearing leaf fall before it sinks and decomposes over winter.
Emergency cleans for heavy algae blooms, pump failures, or sudden water quality problems are available at short notice. These are quoted on the same per-job basis after a quick site assessment.

Once or twice a year for most garden ponds. A spring clean and an autumn clean cover the main maintenance. Ponds with heavy fish stocking, nearby trees, or high organic input may benefit from more frequent attention.
Yes. Pump and filter servicing is part of a full pond clean. Impellers are checked, filter media cleaned or replaced, and UV clarifiers inspected. If a pump needs replacing, that is flagged in the quote.
Yes. Koi ponds need careful handling to avoid stressing the fish. Water quality is monitored during the clean, fish are managed safely, and pump and filtration servicing is prioritised for stocked ponds.
