Lawn Mowing
Striped, healthy lawns with squared edges. From courtyard plots to country gardens.
+50% surcharge for overgrown first cuts
ELawnCare covers Girton on regular routes. The village sits northwest of Cambridge near the A14, with generous garden plots that often back onto farmland or open space. Mature hedgerows, established lawns and long boundaries make up the typical Girton garden.
Girton properties tend to have more ground than inner Cambridge houses, and the gardens reflect it. There is room for proper lawns, deep borders, fruit trees and hedges that have been growing for decades. Regular maintenance keeps all of this manageable without letting any one element run ahead of the rest.

Mowing at £20 per 100m² covers the larger lawns common in Girton. Mature hedgerows along back and side boundaries often sit above 2m, which puts them in the £8 per metre band. Two or three cuts a year keeps them shaped without letting them get out of hand.
Hand weeding at £28 an hour tackles established borders, gravel drives and paths. Monthly visits through the season keep weeds from getting ahead, which is cheaper over the year than letting them establish and paying for a deep clear each time.
Boundary fencing in Girton often runs longer than in town. Labour from £100 per panel with materials quoted after a free site visit. For lawns that need replacing, turfing from £9 per m² labour with turf supplied at cost. Both are quoted properly after seeing the garden rather than estimated blind.
