Lawn Mowing
Striped, healthy lawns with squared edges. From courtyard plots to country gardens.
+50% surcharge for overgrown first cuts
ELawnCare covers Histon and Impington on regular routes. Sitting about 4 miles north of Cambridge city centre, both villages have larger plots than typical inner Cambridge gardens, with a mix of older village houses and modern estate builds spread across the CB24 postcode.
Histon and Impington gardens tend to have proper lawns, established hedgerows and enough space for borders, vegetable patches and sheds. The soil is decent and the grass grows fast, so fortnightly mowing through the season keeps things right.

Properties along the High Street, Station Road and the older parts of Histon often have deep rear gardens with mature hedges on the boundaries. Mowing at £20 per 100m² keeps the lawn striped, strimming at £12 squares the edges, and hedge trimming at £4 per metre handles the boundaries two or three times a year.
Newer estates like those off Merrington Place and around Impington have slightly smaller plots but still more generous than inner Cambridge. Many of these gardens have builder-laid turf that benefits from proper care once the house is settled in.
Tired or patchy lawns in Histon respond well to turfing at £9 per m² labour with turf supplied at cost. The soil in this area holds moisture better than the sandy patches closer to Cambridge, which gives new turf a strong start, especially when laid in autumn.
Mowing from £20 per 100m² with a £40 minimum visit. Strimming adds £12. Hedges £4 per metre up to 2m, £8 above. Hand weeding £28 an hour. Turfing from £9 per m² labour. Monthly plans take 10% off recurring work.
