Overgrown Garden Clearance in Cambridge
Overgrown gardens need clearing before regular maintenance can begin. ELawnCare provides clearance across Cambridge at £250 for a half day and £375 for a full day. This covers cutting back brambles, nettles, waist-high grass, and general overgrowth. Green waste is stacked or bagged for disposal. Skip hire or tip fees are quoted separately when needed.
After the clearance, regular maintenance at £20 per 100m² on a fortnightly schedule prevents the garden from returning to its overgrown state. Monthly plans take 10% off. The service covers CB1 to CB25, owner-run with £2 million public liability insurance.

What overgrown clearance involves
Cutting back brambles, nettles, and overgrown shrubs. Strimming waist-high grass down to a manageable level. Removing debris, dead plants, and accumulated waste. Clearing paths and access points. The aim is to bring the garden back to a point where regular maintenance can take over.
For very large or severely neglected gardens, a multi-day quote is provided after a site visit. The owner assesses the scope, estimates the waste volume, and provides a fixed price before starting.
After the clearance
The first proper mow after a clearance carries a 50% surcharge because the ground is still rough. After that, standard rates apply. Getting onto a regular schedule as soon as possible after clearance is the best way to prevent a repeat.
