EDGES SQUARED

Strimming and Edging Service in Cambridge

ELawnCare strimming covers lawn edges, border edging, path edges and overgrown verges across Cambridge and the CB1 to CB5 area. Added to a mow for £12 or booked standalone at £28 per hour with a one hour minimum.

Squared edges make a bigger visual difference than most people expect. A freshly mown lawn with ragged edges still looks untidy, while clean edges on a slightly longer lawn look deliberate and cared for.

    Strimming pricing

£12 added to a mowing visit covers edges along paths, fences and beds. That is the most common way to book it, and most fortnightly customers add strimming to every visit or every other visit.

Standalone strimming without a mow is £28 per hour with a one hour minimum. This suits gardens where the lawn is managed but edges along gravel, drives or overgrown borders need separate attention.

    What gets strimmed

Lawn edges along paths and paving, borders where grass creeps into beds, fence lines where the mower cannot reach, and overgrown edges around sheds, walls and raised areas. Path edges are kept crisp and border lines kept defined.

For badly overgrown edges on a first visit, the overgrown surcharge of 50% applies to that visit only. From the second visit onwards you are on the standard rate.

    COMMON QUESTIONS

    Frequently asked questions

£12 added to a mowing visit, or £28 per hour as a standalone booking with a one hour minimum. Monthly plans take 10% off recurring work. Overgrown first cuts carry a 50% surcharge for that visit only.

Yes. Standalone strimming is £28 per hour with a one hour minimum. It suits gardens where the lawn is already managed but edges along gravel drives, borders or fence lines need separate work on a different schedule.

Every visit during the growing season keeps them looking sharp. Some customers add strimming to every mow, others to every other visit. In winter, edges barely grow so strimming drops to occasional tidy-ups or stops entirely.

Yes. Border edging where grass creeps into beds is part of the standard strimming job. Keeping a clean line between lawn and border stops grass invading the beds and makes the whole garden look more intentional.

It is added at £12 per visit rather than included automatically, so you only pay for it when you want it. Most regular maintenance customers across CB1 to CB5 add strimming to every visit or every second visit.
