Replacing a single storm-damaged panel where the posts either side are still sound is usually the quickest job, often done in a couple of hours once materials are on site. Rotten post replacement, digging out the old concrete or timber and setting a new post, takes longer and is priced after seeing the ground conditions.
Loose or sagging gravel boards, which sit at the base of a fence to stop the panel itself rotting from ground contact, are another frequent repair and a cheap way to extend the life of an otherwise sound fence.
