What tree pruning covers
Formative pruning on young trees to establish a good shape, thinning overgrown ornamental trees to let more light through the garden, and cutting back fruit trees to keep them productive and manageable. Deadwood removal and reducing branches that overhang paths, patios or neighbouring gardens are also common requests.
Larger mature trees, anything needing climbing gear, rigging or a chainsaw at height, are outside what ELawnCare covers and are better suited to a qualified arborist with the right insurance and equipment for that scale of work.

Most deciduous garden trees are best pruned in late winter while dormant, which reduces stress and makes the branch structure easier to see. Fruit trees generally follow the same winter timing, though some stone fruits like plum and cherry are pruned in summer to reduce disease risk. Evergreens are usually trimmed in late spring or summer instead.
